I’ve been drawing and doodling pretty much my whole life, but I’ve never taken an art class of any kind, and have always really regretted that. After looking around at the options and dreaming about it for so long, I’ve finally enrolled in drawing classes at Sadie Valeri<\/a>. Today was my first day, and even after just one class I feel like I’ve learned so much and have started putting those things into practice.<\/p>\n

We are starting off with still life drawing (which will take 2 of the 6 lessons), and later in the class we will do portrait drawing.<\/p>\n

Already I’m thinking of enrolling in some of their other classes after this… pretty much all of their classes sound exciting to me, and sound like skills that will help me with my comics and drawing. Because really, that’s my ultimate goal.<\/p>\n

I’m more or less happy with how my comics end up looking, but I’m not happy with how long they take me, because they do not look like they should take a lot of work. For things as simple as my comics, I feel like I should be able to bang them out, so that’s why I decided that I was missing some basic fundamentals that an academic drawing course might correct.<\/p>\n
