There we found a full set of depression-era uranium dioxide glassware:<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 478px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/58189808@N03\/9008499441\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7296\/9008499441_f16b146631_z.jpg\" width=\"478\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ahh, that cheery uranium glow.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since Doc and I don&#8217;t have much space, and don&#8217;t do much entertaining (these two points are actually related), we went in on the set with <a title=\"Rotormind\" href=\"http:\/\/rotormind.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jon<\/a>, who was pleased to have something to finally test his Geiger counter on.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re nice and purdy, with or without a UV light, and they have become our &#8220;special occasion&#8221; glassware.<\/p>\n<p>Now we just need to buy some tonic water, fill them up, and check out how the two fluorescent sources look together under UV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While walking around the Mission aimlessly on June 2nd, Doc and I wandered into Carousel Consignment to browse their wares.
