Steen’s home of the certainly strange
It has been altogether too hot this week, and I am ready for it to be cooler now.
In other news, the Void Shadows DLC for Rogue Trader lets you take a bath whenever you want. So this was pretty much the best purchase I ever made.
I basically had to marathon run to finish my old playthrough so I could start a fresh run with the DLC. And I have been having a blast thus far.
Doc and I went on tours of several cacao farms, and it was a huge blast. I like eating and seeing where food comes from. I also got to go swimming and hold a bicken.
There were also bickens everywhere
I got to hold a pet bicken (this one was not feral)
And I got to mix some of the fermenting beans
They fed us so much chocolate and I got to taste so much cacao fruit. The different genetics tasted so different, even from the same farm. There are so many variables going on that even the same varietal from the same trees on the same farm will taste different from batch to batch.
I also like to eat bickens but I did not eat the pet bicken.
Today some colleagues and I competed in a series of dragon boat races, and it was a lot of fun! It was an all day affair, though, needing to arrive at 7:30 AM and continuing until 5. Quite a lot of dragon boating.
