I just flew in from Marin, and boy are my arms tired

While boarding the Tiburon-San Francisco ferry to begin my commute home last night, a pigeon also hopped on board. As we ferried across the bay, the bird walked around the cabin investigating everything. It even hopped up onto an empty chair, and investigated the table in front of it.

Near the end of the ride, it had resigned itself to strutting back and fourth near the entrance of the cabin, and then stopped to take a poop. When it turned around after pooping (to continue with its pacing), it spotted the poop out of the corner of its eye, and plunged its head down to peck at it. Only when the bird’s face was half a centimeter away did it realize that the stuff was its own poop and not a piece of food that magically appeared during the poop break, and it recoiled. The doors are closing; please stand clear of the doors.

I got sick of driving, so I’ve been taking public transit to work every day. BART train to Ferry Building, ferry to Marin (and vice-versa). The best part about this change is that now I get to have BART adventures like everybody else in San Francisco.

I can has BART adventures?

One of the Buddhist monks from the monastery on 22nd and Capp was sitting down on the seat in front of me. She was small, with a shaved head and robes. I was standing, packed into the train car, next to a tall man with long hair.

Well, looks like I’m finally getting this show back on the road (and by “show” I mean “website” and by “road” I mean… hmm well I guess that means “Internet”).
For your exclusive viewing delectation and delight I have included this professional documentary-caliber artist’s depiction of myself, in the General Lee, commuting to work.  Because everybody loves reading and hearing about commutes!  It is exciting and relatable.
