So since I’m stuck inside and I can’t go to the gym or rehearse with the string ensemble anymore due to Shelter in Place, I think I’ve been doing more crafting. Especially all the little details and fiddly bits that I’ve been putting off for a while.
Like priming and painting the emblem badges

And I finally lined the disruptor pistol holster with some suede the other day. So far as I can tell, the ones the actors wear on the show are unlined, but I thought it would look nice and swanky so I did it. Now I just gotta install the rivets and carabiner clips and it should be good to go.

Oh yeah, I’m gonna be the swankiest Romulan on the block. I’m gonna swagger on into town all like “Ladies” and all the ladies will be like “OMG who is he???”
Hi Steen, your Romulan creations are so fantastic!!! I’m working on creating my own TNG Romulan, and I can’t figure out what the material used for the harness is, any advice would be so appreciated!
Jolan tru! Glad you enjoy my ramblings and my creations! For the harness, I learned that for the costumes on the show, they used rubber Dri Dek tiles cut into strips. Then you weave ribbon of your choice through the holes. You can then affix them together and fashion them into a belt/harness as needed. So that is what I did! Using Dri Dek (or any similar rubber bar mat tiles) to make your harness will make it look identical to the ones on the show (because they did the exact same thing).
Good luck!
Oh my gosh thank you so much! I was researching for so long and just couldn’t figure out the name of the exact product. I’m so grateful, thank you!!!
